Cutting Costs and Improving Efficiency with Managed Print Services

The Treasure Valley technology company will bring its operations under one roof at 1420 E Bird Dog Drive, where site work is now underway

MERIDIAN, Idaho — June 24, 2026 — Allied Business Solutions, a leading managed technology services provider in the Treasure Valley, has announced plans for a new headquarters at 1420 E Bird Dog Drive in Meridian, Idaho. The site sits next to Vertical View Climbing Gym along Interstate 84, between Locust Grove and Overland Road. A construction sign now marks the lot as site preparation gets underway.

The new building will bring Allied's warehouse, distribution center, and company departments together under one roof. It is designed around the parts of the business Allied is investing in most: its managed IT and security services, its growing AI and automation work, and the national distribution of printers, copiers, and multifunction devices through its network of manufacturer partners.

"This building represents everything we have worked toward since day one. We started this company in Boise because we believed in this community, and this community has believed in us. Seeing that sign go up on our new lot is one of the proudest moments in Allied's history."

Businesses are always looking for ways to reduce overhead costs while
improving efficiency. One often-overlooked area where companies lose money is
print management - from unnecessary purchases to unmanaged lease agreements.
Without a structured approach, costs can spiral due to reactionary spending on
toners, cartridges, and short-term printer solutions.

By implementing Managed Print Services (MPS), businesses can eliminate waste,
control spending, and streamline their printing environment, ultimately
boosting profitability.

Eliminating Unnecessary Print Expenses

One of the biggest cost drains for businesses is untracked, reactionary
spending on printing supplies. Many companies find themselves buying toner and
cartridges last minute, often paying more than necessary. This fragmented
approach leads to:

  • Duplicate orders when different departments purchase
    supplies independently.
  • Unnecessary printer purchases when quick fixes replace
    long-term solutions.
  • Unmanaged lease agreements that don’t reflect actual
    printing volumes.

With Managed Print Services, businesses can centralize purchasing, monitor
supply needs, and prevent wasteful spending. Instead of reacting to low toner
levels or equipment failures, companies can implement a proactive print
strategy that ensures better cost control and predictable budgeting.

How Overspending on Print Adds Up

Many businesses don’t realize how much they’re overpaying on print
expenses until they take a closer look. A lack of monitoring and oversight
leads to hidden costs, such as:

  • 5-10% overpayments on printing contracts or supply orders.
  • Leased printers with unused print volume quotas, leading to
    wasted resources.
  • Duplicate billing for services that go unnoticed on vendor
    invoices.

Something as simple as reviewing print-related expenses regularly can result
in thousands of dollars in monthly savings. It’s similar to household
budgeting, where tracking unused subscriptions or unnecessary spending can
free up cash flow.

With an MPS provider like Allied Business Solutions, businesses gain
visibility into their print spending, ensuring that every dollar spent
contributes to business efficiency rather than unnecessary overhead.
