Leveraging Technology to Reduce Costs and Improve Workplace Efficiency

The Treasure Valley technology company will bring its operations under one roof at 1420 E Bird Dog Drive, where site work is now underway

MERIDIAN, Idaho — June 24, 2026 — Allied Business Solutions, a leading managed technology services provider in the Treasure Valley, has announced plans for a new headquarters at 1420 E Bird Dog Drive in Meridian, Idaho. The site sits next to Vertical View Climbing Gym along Interstate 84, between Locust Grove and Overland Road. A construction sign now marks the lot as site preparation gets underway.

The new building will bring Allied's warehouse, distribution center, and company departments together under one roof. It is designed around the parts of the business Allied is investing in most: its managed IT and security services, its growing AI and automation work, and the national distribution of printers, copiers, and multifunction devices through its network of manufacturer partners.

"This building represents everything we have worked toward since day one. We started this company in Boise because we believed in this community, and this community has believed in us. Seeing that sign go up on our new lot is one of the proudest moments in Allied's history."

Businesses are always looking for ways to cut operational costs, increase
productivity, and improve employee satisfaction. The key to achieving all
three? Automation and digital transformation. Many organizations continue to
rely on outdated, manual processes that consume valuable time and resources,
but today’s technology makes automation easier and more accessible than
ever.

By assessing paper-based and repetitive tasks, companies can significantly
streamline workflows, free up employee time, and enhance workplace
efficiency—all while reducing expenses. Here’s how businesses in
Boise can take advantage of intelligent automation and digital process
management to transform operations.

Identifying Time-Consuming Manual Processes

One of the biggest mistakes businesses make is failing to evaluate everyday,
repetitive tasks that could be automated. If employees are spending 5 to 35
minutes per day on manual data entry, paper processing, or back-and-forth
email communication, that time adds up—leading to higher labor costs and
lower productivity.

Instead of maintaining inefficient workflows, companies should consult with an
automation business analyst to determine whether a process can be optimized.
With modern intelligent capture solutions, nearly any document-heavy or
task-based workflow can be automated, reducing manual work and improving data
accuracy.

The Power of Intelligent Automation

Automation is no longer reserved for large enterprises with complex IT
departments. With intelligent automation, businesses can track, monitor, and
manage nearly any workflow, whether it's related to document processing,
customer interactions, or third-party integrations.

By implementing digital dashboards and workflow automation tools, businesses
can:

  • Track Processes in Real-Time – Digital dashboards
provide visibility into workflows, helping managers identify delays,
    bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
  • Reduce Task Completion Time – What once took two
weeks to complete can now be done in two hours, thanks to automation tools
    powered by AI technology.
  • Improve Employee Satisfaction – Employees are more
engaged when they are freed from tedious, repetitive work and given more
    meaningful tasks.
  • Lower Operational Costs – Automating common tasks can
save businesses thousands annually by eliminating wasted time and reducing
    errors.

A recent automation project within a business saved six to seven hours per day
simply by automating responses and integrations with third-party
vendors—without requiring a significant financial investment.

How to Get Started with Process Automation

Many businesses hesitate to explore automation solutions because they assume
they will require significant financial investment. However, automation is
more accessible and cost-effective than ever before.

The best place to start? Look at your most paper-intensive or labor-intensive
processes and ask:

  • Are employees spending too much time on repetitive tasks?
  • Are there bottlenecks in workflows that slow down productivity?
  • Could an automation tool or document management system improve efficiency?

A great first step is to consult with a trusted technology vendor, such as
Allied Business Solutions, to explore available solutions. Many businesses
don’t realize that vendors are willing to offer insights and
recommendations without requiring an immediate financial commitment.

Employees won’t always request automation solutions on their
own—it’s up to business leaders to proactively identify
inefficiencies and implement smarter technology. By embracing automation,
companies can eliminate wasted time, optimize workflows, and create a more
productive, satisfied workforce.
