The Role of Warranties in Office Technology Management

The Treasure Valley technology company will bring its operations under one roof at 1420 E Bird Dog Drive, where site work is now underway

MERIDIAN, Idaho — June 24, 2026 — Allied Business Solutions, a leading managed technology services provider in the Treasure Valley, has announced plans for a new headquarters at 1420 E Bird Dog Drive in Meridian, Idaho. The site sits next to Vertical View Climbing Gym along Interstate 84, between Locust Grove and Overland Road. A construction sign now marks the lot as site preparation gets underway.

The new building will bring Allied's warehouse, distribution center, and company departments together under one roof. It is designed around the parts of the business Allied is investing in most: its managed IT and security services, its growing AI and automation work, and the national distribution of printers, copiers, and multifunction devices through its network of manufacturer partners.

"This building represents everything we have worked toward since day one. We started this company in Boise because we believed in this community, and this community has believed in us. Seeing that sign go up on our new lot is one of the proudest moments in Allied's history."

Selecting the right office technology is about more than just finding devices
that meet your business needs—it’s about ensuring they remain
reliable and cost-effective over time. Many companies underestimate the value
of warranty-backed office equipment, leading to unexpected costs, downtime,
and IT service demands. By standardizing devices and incorporating strategic
warranty planning, businesses can create a more efficient, low-maintenance,
and cost-effective office environment.

The Case for Standardized Office Equipment

Many businesses use a mix of different printer and computer models across
departments, often leading to inconsistent supply management, unpredictable
maintenance needs, and higher IT demands. A more streamlined approach is to:

  • Choose a few standardized models that align with the company’s needs.
  • Invest in devices with three-year warranties to ensure long-term
    reliability.
  • Simplify supply management by reducing the variety of toner, ink, and
    accessories required.
  • Minimize IT involvement by implementing direct vendor support for device
    replacements.

By standardizing office technology, businesses can cut unnecessary costs,
reduce supply waste, and enhance operational efficiency without burdening
internal IT teams.

How Warranty-Backed Devices Reduce Costs and Downtime

Office equipment failures can slow productivity, increase IT workload, and
disrupt workflows. Investing in warranties ensures that when a device
malfunctions, it can be quickly replaced without added expenses. Businesses
that utilize warranty-backed devices experience:

  • Lower repair and maintenance costs by eliminating the need
    for service calls.
  • Faster device replacement with a guaranteed turnaround time
of one to two business days.
  • Predictable expenses instead of surprise repair costs that
    strain budgets.

Rather than waiting for a technician to diagnose and fix a faulty device,
businesses can have a replacement shipped immediately, keeping operations
running smoothly.

The Role of Managed Print Solutions for High-Volume Printing

For businesses with frequent printing needs, warranties alone may not be
enough to ensure efficiency. Managed print programs provide an additional
layer of cost control and convenience, helping companies:

  • Reduce printing expenses by consolidating print management
    into a single service.
  • Automate supply replenishment so toner and paper are always
    available.
  • Ensure proactive maintenance to prevent unexpected
    breakdowns.

Combining warranty-backed printers for low-volume use with managed print
solutions for high-demand environments gives businesses a comprehensive,
cost-efficient printing strategy that eliminates inefficiencies.
